A 15-year-old girl is in a critical condition in hospital after she was hit by a car in Co Offaly.

A 15-year-old girl is in a critical condition in hospital after she was hit by a car in Co Offaly.

It happened in Clara on the Kilbeggan road at around a 5.45pm yesterday evening.

She was taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore.
