A priest has called for an end to gangland violence in Limerick following the city's latest murder.

The funeral has taken place of father-of-one Lee Slattery whose body was found in a shallow grave on Monday afternoon.

The 24-year-old was shot a number of times and a massive garda investigation is continuing.

Speaking in his homily at St Munchin's Church, Canon Donal McNamara says gangland violence "must stop".
