Taoiseach met with Moriarty Tribunal chairman

It has emerged this evening that the Taoiseach Brian Cowen held a meeting with the Chairman of the Moriarty Tribunal last week.

Details of what they discussed may be revealed when Mr Cowen meets with Opposition leaders tomorrow.

Mr Justice Michael Moriarty has proposed to break his final report into two parts.

One part is set to concern the so-called 'money trail' around former Minister Michael Lowry, with the second on the awarding of the mobile phone licence to Esat Digifone.
