Three Dublin men who were arrested by police in Spain on Tuesday have been remanded in custody after appearing before a Spanish court.

Irish gangland boss Christy Kinahan and his sons Daniel and Christopher Junior are suspected of drug smuggling and money laundering.

A fourth Irishman who was arrested, 58-year-old John Cunningham, was released on bail late last night.

The four men were among 34 people detained in Spain, the UK and Ireland as part of an international investigation into a Spanish-based Irish-led drug trafficking gang.

The Kinahans are being held in a prison on the Costa Del Sol.
