Dedicated unit to investigate sex crimes against children

A dedicated unit to deal with sexual crimes against children is to be set up by the Gardai.

In its annual report for 2009 the Garda Commissioner Fachtna Murphy said the unit will deal with sexual crimes, crimes against children and child welfare and will be set up within the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
