The search for two men missing off the south-east coast is resuming this morning.

The two have been missing since their capsized dinghy was found off Helvic Head in Ring on Sunday evening.

John O'Brien and Pat Esmonde, both in their 30s and from Tipperary, were last seen shortly after 5pm on Sunday.

They had gone out on a fishing trip in an inflatable dinghy which was found capsized, with two life jackets still attached..

Yesterday, the LE Orla, the RNLI lifeboat and the Waterford based Coastguard helicopter led the search for the missing men.

They were assisted by a team of naval service divers.

The men are missing, presumed drowned. This morning the search teams will resume their efforts to recover their bodies.
