Search for Waterford fishing-pair called off for the night

The search for two men missing off the Waterford coast since yesterday evening has been called off for the night.

John O'Brien and Pat Esmonde, both from Co Tipperary and both aged in their mid 30s, were last seen shortly after 5pm yesterday.

Their dinghy was found capsized a short time later.

A major search has been under way off Helvic Head for the two men.

Naval service divers joined the Lifeboat and Coast Guard search operation during the day.
