Woman killed in Mayo crash

A 30-year-old woman has been killed in a road collision in Co Mayo.

The incident occurred at Clootumper in Ballyhaunis shortly after 2am this morning, after the motorcycle on which she was a passenger collided with a sign.

The 26-year-old male driver was taken to Castlebar Hospital where his injuries are not believed to be serious.

Road diversions are in place.
