Gardaí have made a direct appeal to the killer or killers of Dublin teenager Daniel Mc Anaspie.

Gardaí have made a direct appeal to the killer or killers of Dublin teenager Daniel Mc Anaspie.

The 17-year-old's badly decomposed body was found in a ditch in Rathfeigh, close to the N2 in Co. Meath last Thursday. He had been stabbed several times.

Gardaí say they are following a number of lines of enquiry. One of them is that the teenager was attacked and stabbed on Whitestown Avenue in Blanchardstown in the early hours of February 26.

Superintendent John Gilligan from the Garda Press Office is appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

"Daniel was an innocent young man… well-respected by his family and people who knew him," Supt Gilligan said.

"He certainly didn't deserve anything like this."

Supt Gilligan appealed to anyone who may have information on the killing - including anyone that may have been involved - to come forward.
