Elderly man dies in Co Carlow car crash

A man has been killed in a road crash in County Carlow.

It happened when the car he was driving hit a wall at Ballyine, near Borris at about 12.45am this morning.

The man, who is believed to have been in his sixties, was brought to St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny but was later pronounced dead.

Nobody else was injured in the incident and gardaí at Carlow are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
