Cowen continues to express 'regret'

Taoiseach Brian Cowen has described pressure on him to apologise for the Government's handling of the economic crisis as a "wordgame the media are engaged in".

In a speech last week, Mr Cowen acknowledged that he shares blame for mistakes made by the Government during his time as Minister for Finance.
