Taoiseach defends record on financial crisis

Taoiseach Brian Cowen has come under fire from the Opposition after a speech last night in which he defended his role as Minister for Finance in the lead up to the financial crisis.

Fine Gael says Cowen's defence is a 'sad attempt' to pre-empt the findings of the banking inquiry.
