Elderfield: Level of bank director lending 'irresponsible'

The Financial Regulator Matthew Elderfield is to introduce new rules governing loans to bank directors and senior management.

Mr Elderfield made the comments at the Oireachtas Public Accounts Committee which is reviewing the response to the financial market crisis.
