Prices up slightly in April

Consumer prices in April increased by 0.2%, according to official figues released today.

This compares to a decrease of 0.8% recorded in April of last year. Average prices, as measured by the Consumer Price Iindex (CPI), were 2.1% lower in April 2010 compared with April 2009.
