Man arrested in connection with 2009 shooting
Gardaí investigating the fatal shooting of Wayne Doherty in Dublin last year have arrested a man.
The 26-year-old was arrested in Dublin this evening and is being held at Blanchardstown Garda station.
Doherty, 32, was shot on July 4 last year in Hartstown.
The married father of two was gunned down outside his parent's home at Oakview Way at around 11.30pm.
Gardaí believe a group had arrived on the road to attack another person who lived there, but shot and killed Mr Doherty when he confronted them
The man who was arrested is being held under the Offences Against the State Act and can be detained for up to 72 hours.
