The Government has today refused to allow a debate in the Dáil this week about Ireland's contribution to the bailout of Greece.

The Government has today refused to allow a debate in the Dáil this week about Ireland's contribution to the bailout of Greece.

Taxpayers here will loan €1.3bn over three years as part of the rescue plan.

The Government says legislation to give effect to the move will go before Cabinet next Tuesday and be in the Dáil the week after.
