Just before noon, the Vera Skilton came to the assistance of four people when their cruiser hit rocks in Scarriff Bay on Lough Derg in Tipperary.

Three hours later, Valentia coastguard requested the Lifeboat to launch again when three people on board a cruiser got into difficulty just off Mountshannon in Lough Derg.
