O'Connor: Deal offers certainty in unprecedented times
SIPTU leader Jack O'Connor is calling on public sector workers to vote in favour of the Croke Park pay deal.
He says the current economic crisis is potentially the most serious problem this country has faced since the 2nd World War.
He added it was fine to suggest that public sector workers did not create the mess, but that did not address the issue.
Mr O'Connor said that passing the deal was very important "as a medium-term strategy…in unprecedented times".
