Two arrested following Dublin gun seizure

Two people have been arrested and Gardaí have seized a handgun, silencer and a number of rounds of ammunition following a search in Clondalkin, Dublin, yesterday.

The planned search was carried out at the house in the Wheatfield area at around 9pm last night.

A man and woman in their late 20s were arrested at the scene and taken to Ronanstown and Lucan Garda stations.

They are currently being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
