SIPTU president calls on public servants to forgo pensions

SIPTU president Jack O'Connor is calling on serving public representatives who are in receipt of state pensions to voluntarily forgo them.

The trade union leader - who is also head of ICTU - said he understood many had already done so, but that it was critical to the credibility of our democratic institutions for others to follow.
