Gardaí investigate gangland murder

A murder investigation is underway following the shooting dead of one of Dublin's most notorious gang-leaders.

32-year-old Eamon Dunne was shot dead in the Fassaugh House Pub in Cabra just after 10pm last night.

It is understood a lone gunman pulled up outside Fassaugh House Pub in Cabra, went inside, opened fire and killed Mr Dunne, a convicted criminal, a major player in the drugs trade, and

also the the leader of one of Dublin's most notorious gangs in Finglas.

The area remains sealed off and a post mortem is expected to be carried out on the body later today.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the area tonight and who has information to contact forward.
