Significant developments occurred today in a case where a jury of 12 men was sworn in for the trial of a man and two women accused of organising prostitution and keeping brothels in Cork.

Significant developments occurred today in a case where a jury of 12 men was sworn in for the trial of a man and two women accused of organising prostitution and keeping brothels in Cork.

Julieanne Gibson, (aged 41), of 4 Springvale, Old Youghal Road, Cork, pleaded not guilty to 69 counts this morning but later in the afternoon she pleaded guilty to five counts of keeping brothels at 18 Grafton Street and 26 John Street on various dates in 2006 and 2007. Gibson cried as she was being re-arraigned. Sentencing in her case was adjourned until May 12.
