Man arrested after body found in Cork
Gardaí in Cork have arrested a 31-year-old man following the discovery of a man's body on the northside of the city.
The discovery was made at around 6am this morning at a house in Gurranabraher.
The house at Saint Rita's Avenue has been sealed off, and is to be forensically examined.
It is believed the body of the man in his 30s was found at the rear of the building at around 6am by gardaí.
A post mortem examination is to be carried out later at Cork University Hospital to establish the cause of death.
The dead man is not thought to have been a resident of the house where his body was found.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the area of Saint Rita's Avenue early this morning between 5-7am to contact them at Gurranbraher station on 021- 494 6200.
