Labour conference continues today
Jobs, the economy and the banking crisis will take centre stage at the Labour party national conference in Galway today.
Last night, the party leader Eamon Gilmore promised a full banking inquiry and review of the banking crisis.
Delegates also demanded the party actively campaign for a reversal of public sector pay cuts.
Eamon Gilmore fired the first warning shot for the next election, saying that, just like Nick Clegg in the UK, he wants a space beside Brian Cowen and Enda Kenny in the TV debate.
