Volcanic ash 'not a health risk to Ireland'

The Health Service Executive (HSE) says the plume of volcanic ash from Iceland is not considered to be a significant risk to public health because it is currently at high altitude.

The Health Service Executive (HSE) says the plume of volcanic ash from Iceland is not considered to be a significant risk to public health because it is currently at high altitude.

The HSE says it is not expected to come to ground in Ireland in the near future and even if it does the concentrations of particles are not likely to cause significant effects on health.
