A 17-year-old male, charged in relation to a serious stabbing incident in Drogheda, has been remanded in custody.

A 17-year-old male, charged in relation to a serious stabbing incident in Drogheda, has been remanded in custody.

He appeared before a special sitting of the district court in Dundalk this morning.

The teenager is accused of asasult causing harm to three men on the corner of West Street and Peter street in Drogheda.

He is also accused of producing a two-blade folding knife at the scene just after midnight yesterday morning.

A 16-year-old male remains in a critical but stable condition at the Mater Hospital in Dublin following the incident.

The 17-year-old accused cannot be named because he is a minor.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at the Childrens Court in Dublin this Thursday.
