Diversions on N4 after crash

The N4 Dublin to Sligo Road remains closed in both directions between Junction 11 Castlepollard and the Old Longford Road Junction following a multi-vehicle crash.

The collision happened shortly before 10am this morning on the Westbound lane between four cars and a lorry - which overturned.

The driver of the lorry has been taken to Mullingar Hospital suffering from serious injuries.

Diversions are in place.
