Body recovered from Shannon

The body of a man aged in his 20s has been recovered from the River Shannon in Limerick.

The man, believed to be from Co Clare, had entered the water shortly before 1pm near Matthew Bridge in the city.

His body was found at around 4.30pm by divers from the Limerick Marine Search and Rescue.
