Anglo Irish Bank 'considering taking over Quinn Insurance'

It is being reported that Anglo Irish Bank is attempting to put Quinn Insurance on sound commercial footing to secure the repayment of €2.8bn owed by the Quinn family.

The Irish Times says that among the proposals being considered by the bank is the possibility of it taking over the insurer.
