Woman rescued after fall in Comeragh mountains

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after she fell in the Comeragh mountains.

The woman was hill walking with a group on Knockanaffrin Ridge when she injured her leg in the fall at about 3pm this afternoon.

Mountain rescue teams and the Coastguard Helicopter were involved in transferring her to Waterford Regional Hospital where she is being treated for her injuries.
