Cork search operation stood down for the night

A search operation for a Scottish teenager missing off the west Cork coast has been called off for the night.

The 19-year-old man and his friend were swept into the sea near Baltimore by a large wave yesterday morning.

The second man managed to swim ashore.

A spokesperson for Valentia Coastguard said the search will resume tomorrow morning, weather permitting.
