Brady to 'reflect' on role in weeks ahead

The head of the Catholic Church in Ireland, Cardinal Sean Brady, today apologised over revelations that he failed to alert gardaí to the abuse of two children by notorious paedophile priest Fr Brendan Smyth.

The Cardinal signalled that he will "reflect" on his future role in the weeks ahead.
