Enterprise dept set for structural changes

There are further hints that changes in the structure of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment will feature in next week's Cabinet reshuffle.

Minister Mary Coughlan has confirmed that plans for a one-stop shop for jobseekers are being finalised.

It would see all services centralised in one premises, with more scrutiny of people's efforts to find work.

If the plan was implemented, it would see some of the Enterprise Department's employment duties being handled by the Department of Social and Family Affairs.
