Gardaí question three over plot to murder cartoonist

Three men remain in custody in connection with an alleged plot to murder cartoonist Lars Vilks over a picture of the Prophet Mohammed with the body of a dog.

The other four suspects have been released without charge and files are being sent to the DPP.

Gardaí were acting on intelligence from the CIA, FBI and European agencies.

Security Analyst Declan Power has said it doesn't appear to be a terrorist cell.
