Westmeath crash victim dies in hospital

A man has died in hospital following a road crash in Co Westmeath this morning.

The 26-year-old was injured when the car he was driving collided with a wall on the N52 at Cloghan in Mullingar.

He was taken by ambulance to Mullingar Hospital where he later passed away.

Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses to the crash to contact them at Mullingar Garda Station.
