ICTU to discuss campaign of action tomorrow

The public services committee of the ICTU is to meet tomorrow as unions move to escalate their campaign of industrial action against government cuts.

Rolling out work stoppages across the civil and public service is on tomorrow's agenda.

It follows Friday evening's announcement by CPSU of formal strike notice on the Government.

The escalation could particularly hit services provided by the Revenue Commissioners, the Department of Social and Family Affairs and the Passport Office.
