Feminists Walking Tour to take place today

Hundreds of people are expected to turn out for an annual Feminists Walking Tour which takes place in Dublin this afternoon.

The tour, which begins at the Central Bank at 1pm, will tell the stories of the women who helped shape Irish history since the days of the Ladies Land League.

Organiser Sinead Ahern says it is just as important today to continue the struggle for gender equality.

"Women still earn less than men for equal work…Women do still have a very real struggle for equality," she said.
