A Limerick man will appear in court today via video link charged in connection with the fatal shooting of delivery man Daniel Treacy.

John Coughlan (aged 29) of Pineview Gardens, Moyross is charged with the murder of the father of two at a petrol station last month.

Coughlan has already appeared before Limerick District Court charged with the murder.

The unemployed man was escorted to and from the court by armed members of the Regional Support Unit on Monday.

He was remanded in custody to appear before the same court again today via video link from Limerick prison.
