Vintners call for Munster game to be rescheduled
Vintners have added their voice to protests over the staging of a major rugby fixture on Good Friday - calling for it to be rescheduled.
Munster are due to play Leinster in the Magners League at Thomond Park in Limerick on April 2.
Because there is a ban on the sale of alcohol on Good Friday, it's estimated that pubs, restaurants and shops in Limerick will lose up to €10m worth of business.
According to the Vintners Federation - if the match organisers and sponsors take a mature attitude, there is no reason why the match can't be held on a different day.
