Funeral takes place of Real IRA victim

The funeral has taken place in the North of Ciaran Doherty who was shot dead by the Real IRA in Derry last week.

The 31-year-old father of one was gunned down on the Braehead Road on the outskirts of the city on Wednesday night.

In a statement, the Real IRA said Mr Doherty had been a senior member of its organisation.

His family have denied that he was an informer or that he had anything to do with drugs.
