Real IRA victim 'neither an informer nor a criminal'

A man shot dead by the Real IRA in the North was not an informer or drug dealer, his family insisted tonight.

Kieran Doherty, 31, was stripped and tied up and left in a remote laneway on the outskirts of Derry close to the border on Wednesday night.
