The Taoiseach has fuelled speculation that he intends to create new Government ministeries as well as undertake a comprehensive reshuffle of his Cabinet.

Brian Cowen said he is currently looking at the issue of how the Government is organised.

There are indications that he intends to create new Cabinet porfolios of Economic Planning and Public Service Reform.

The Green Party says it hopes to be consulted on any changes.
