The trade union movement is warning that its campaign of action over Budget pay cuts will soon be escalated.

The trade union movement is warning that its campaign of action over Budget pay cuts will soon be escalated.

A mass meeting of the public services union taking place in Galway this evening is hearing that contined pressure will be applied on government.

That pressure will involve an escalation in industrial action.

However the President of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions Jack O'Connor believes that its still not too late for negotiations with the Government.
