Greens to issue statement on O'Dea row

A statement is expected from the Green Party this evening following their meeting to discuss the controversy surrounding the Defence Minister Willie O'Dea.

The Taoiseach Brian Cowen earlier gave his backing to Minister O'Dea following his defamatory statements against Sinn Féin Councillor Maurice Quinlivan.
