Search underway off Cork coast after man falls overboard

A search is underway off the Cork coast for a man who fell overboard from a fishing vessel.

It is understood the man fell from the trawler 11 miles off Fastnet Rock just before 2am this morning.

Lifeboats from Baltimore and Castletown Bere are at the site and the Waterford coastguard helicoptor is circling the area.

The operation is being coordinated by the Valentia Coastguard.
