Robinson should go, say half of survey respondents

Over half of respondents to a poll in the Belfast Telegraph believe Peter Robinson should resign as First Minister and DUP leader because of revelations about his personal life.

The poll also revealed that a third of people are in favour of Gerry Adams resigning as Sinn Féin president following the allegations surrounding his brother.

In relation to the performance of the North's main political parties on the devolution of policing and justice, 39% said Sinn Féin's performance was good compared to 26% for the DUP.

Meanwhile, the Sinn Féin Ard Comhairle will meet in Dublin later today for the first time since the devolution deal was agreed.

Gerry Adams will brief the meeting on the details of the Hillsborough Castle talks.
