Funding announced for new research facility

Funding has today been announced for a new clinical research facility in Galway.

The new centre is aimed at improving research and development capacity in the medical device and pharmaceutical sectors.

Some €7.5m in funding has been allocated to the project, which will eventually employ 20 people.

It forms part of the Government's Action Plan for Health Research.
