A garda investigation is continuing into the death and disappearance of Limerick man Francie Green.

A garda investigation is continuing into the death and disappearance of Limerick man Francie Green.

The body of the 48-year-old was found on a stretch of the River Shannon on Friday.

It is understood he may have been taken by force from his apartment in Limerick city on November 28 last.

A preliminary post-mortem examination has been carried out and it is understood further analysis is needed because of the length of time the body was in the water.
