Gardaí arrest man after Limerick shooting

A man has been arrested following a shooting in Limerick city.

A man in his twenties was shot in the leg near Upper Carey's Road at around 5pm this evening.

He is being treated at Limerick's Mid-Western Regional Hospital where is his condition is described as stable.

The suspect is being questioned by gardaí at Roxboro Road.
