Boy settles injury action for €3m

An eight year old boy has secured €3m in settlement of his High Court over the severe injuries he suffered at birth.

Today the court heard that Sean Fitzpatrick, who has cerebral palsy, is unable to speak and will require a wheelchair as a result of the severe injuries he sustained following his birth at Mayo General Hospital, Castlebar.
